Better chanting in the temple room?

Question

Hare Krishna Maharaja. Thank you very much for taking the time to answer our questions.
I like to chant my rounds of japa in private. I sing the japa in one of the several rooms of the temple. I always feel that I can focus more on the rounds in the temple than in my house.
A devotee asked me why not to do japa where is the Krisna Dieties. I told him that energy is everywhere. He told me that it was better if I went to where Krisna is.
Now I would like to know if the energy is stronger in the area of the altar?
Haribol !!

Answer
Estimada Bhaktin Giovana,
Por favor reciba mis bendiciones. Todas las glorias sean para Srila Prabhupada.

As Srila Prabhupada said “This chanting can be executed anywhere, either inside or outside the temple.” (Caitanya Caritamrita Madhya-lila 4.125) There is not a place where we can’t chant Hare Krishna.

However the importance of temples, sadhu-sanga and other items shouldn’t be underestimated. They are spiritually very powerful. This is the reason why we have temples, Deities, books, devotees, prasadam. Our Acaryas did not spare efforts to provide them to us, because their presence is helpful for our practice.

The verdict of all revealed scriptures is that by even a moment’s association with a pure devotee, one can attain all success.”

Of course the devotees have to be a little careful, for instance, not to chant too loud or the other devotees will not be able to chant their own rounds. There are many things to learn.
