An insensitive article on the coronavirus

Question
GuruMaharaja these kinds of pandemics are handled by demigods to clean up? I thought I read that on Sb

Answer

Dear Madhavendra Puri,
Please receive my blessings. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

In moments like this many will find talking about the law of karma particularly insensitive. Telling parents, sons, wives, friends that their beloved died “because they deserved it” is horrible. It really sounds mean. And actually it is not this way, the explanation is much more complex.

Therefore those who do not want to hear now this type of reasoning should not continue reading this article and close the page.

To those who remained we say that there are no victims in this world. There is no casuality. Everything is mathematically organized. Even when there are wars, epidemics, natural disasters like hurricanes, tsunamis or earthquakes, people will find themselves in “the wrong place at the wrong time” only apparently. They were there because they had to be there to collect their reactions.
It’s never casual. It’s a mathematical cause and effect, which works for singles or group of people.

Of course we do not know if there is any particular story behind this virus.
I asked myself what the people may have thought during the battle of Kuruksetra, where millions of people died in only 18 days. Maybe even at that time there were people asking, why is this happening? Now we know why and this is because Sri Vyasadeva wrote the Maha-bharata.
If this virus will kill millions of people and there is a special reason behind it maybe will find the story in some future Purana.
