In Bhagavad-gita it is stated by the Lord Himself that the acts and character of great authorities are followed by people in general. Leaders of ideal character are therefore needed in society. The leaders should be self motivated and motivate others by their ideal character & engage everyone in service to Mahaprabhu’s Mission. The clue is in one’s ability to engage people in Devotional Service.

The GBC must be vigilant by following the regulative principles and teach by ideal character, the presidents of the centers, and the presidents by their ideal character must teach the others, then automatically all members of the whole institution will be ideal to the human society.”
