The brahmanas know all the Vedas and are engaged in the following six duties:
engaging others in performing sacrifices,
giving charity and
Craftsmen, who maintain their lives by various kinds of trades and crafts, are known as bahisthas.
The aforementioned groups are further divided into eight:
