Sita and Rama’s Marriage

The news of what had happened soon reached Ayodhya. Dasaratha was delighted that his son was marrying the beautiful and chaste Sita, world famous for her qualities, and was also delighted to ally with a powerful and virtuous king like Janaka. With his wives, children, ministers, and many soldiers, Dasaratha left for Mithila.

So, Rama married Sita, and Laksmana married Sita’s sister. Janaka had a brother named Kusadhvaja, who had two daughters. Bharata and Satrughna joined Kusadhvaja’s two daughters.

After the wedding was celebrated, Dasaratha greeted Janaka warmly and left with his entourage, his children, and their respective wives.
