Nine principles of service activities

The devotional service of the Lord consists of nine principles of service activities, and they are

(1) hearing, śravaṇaṁ
(2) chanting, kīrtanaṁ
(3) remembering, smaraṇaṁ
(4) serving the lotus feet, pāda-sevanam
(5) worshiping, arcanaṁ
(6) praying, vandanaṁ
(7) executing the orders, dāsyaṁ
(8) fraternizing, sakhyam
(9) fully surrendering, ātma-nivedanam
