Visit To The Sage Kanva
A short time later, most the ascetics of the hill, alarmed by the arrival of numerous Raksasas, departed, leaving Citrakuta desolate. Without those sages, the place was no longer as attractive as it was before. For this reason, Rama decided to move.
Before they left, they went to see the wise Kanva, who lived nearby. Then, they asked for the blessings of the holy Atri, who was with his wife Anasuya among the few left in Citrakuta.
Sita withdrew with the holy woman and told her the story of her life and her encounter with Rama. After that, the virtuous prince decided to enter that part of the forest where, according to the hermits, numerous and cruel Raksasas lived. Regardless of the danger, Rama, Laksmana, and Sita entered the forest.
