Dharma is the centre of Hinduism, a necessary condition in furtherance to
Realisation. Self-Realisation is an inalienable right belonging to every individual, and every
individual has a duty and an obligation to conform his conduct within a decent society. It
means that a meaningful effort, accompanied with Vedic knowledge, be the focus.
Western critics, by virtue of their tenuous and ineffective philosophical system are making
every effort to paint Hinduism with the broad strokes of pejorative statements; having
many Gods, and that the Vedas are meaningless poetry. Obviously, these comments are
made in bad faith. India inherited the Vedas from the Rishis, or Alvars. They left Wisdom,
while the west inherited the expertise that is “materialism” left by revolutions, such as the
industrial. Both legacies are at opposites, but a ‘synthesis’ is beneficial to all creation.

It is clearly demonstrated that Visistadvaita can pull all beliefs or cults within
Hinduism to a common centre, giving perspective and directions wherein all the different
gods or functionaries are directed to a ‘unified’ source. There are many rivers with many
names, but at the confluence of a sea, the names are washed away. Visitadvaita finds
validity in western philosophies or religions, as well as beliefs entertained within Hinduism.
It does not condemn any. Each has its own independent validity, and is part of an integral
whole. It enquires about the Truth that lies within an All-pervading Brahman.
India has no dictator, in oppression of freedom, or is there a wanton disregard for
human dignity as Ravana abundantly demonstrated, and its citizens, as children of the
Vedas should exercise such rights in enlightenment of themselves and India.
The west is exporting their expertise by marketing an appeal for consumer goods, while
the east with certain exceptions is at a deficit in not exporting its own philosophical views.
Rig Veda 5.59.5 says:
Asva ivet arushasah sabanshavah shura iva prayudhah
Pra uta yuyudhu/
Marya iva suvrdho vavrdhur narah suryasya chakshu narah
Pra minanti vrshtibhih.
Maruts give each person the knowledge he can undersatnd. Not everyone has the highest
knowledge.
Accordingly, teachers of the Vedas have a duty to provide knowledge, so that a
spark can lead to enlightenment.
