Krishna’s ornaments

On Sri Krishna’s two arms Mother Yasoda has tied amulets for protection, which are inlaid with nine priceless jewels.

The nine jewels (nava-ratna) are:
(1) manikya (ruby),
(2) mukta (pearl),
(3) vidruma (coral),
(4) marakata (emerald),
(5) padmaraga [pusparaga] (yellow sapphire, topaz),
(6) vajra (diamond),
(7) nila (blue sapphire),
(8) gomeda and
(9) vaidurya (cat’s eye).
