ISKCON Dominican Republic Raises 5million DOP for Temple Purchase

This article is to provide an update with the ongoing efforts to purchase a property to serve as the Temple and Home of Sri-Sri Gaura-Nitai in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. A previous article was published on Isvara.org and you can find the link below.

ISKCON Dominican Republic is continuing the push for the purchase of its first temple. As stated in the previous article, there is a property which would perfectly suit the needs of the congregation in Santo Domingo. The owners of the property have agreed to extend their deadline and have been very favorable in relinquishing the property to the devotees in Santo Domingo. 

With that said, the devotees still need your help. The great effort to raise enough funds for the purchase is continuing to bear fruit, but, there is still a gap. By the end of next week, projected donations are adding up to 5.2 million DOP ($96,335 USD) with a high likelihood of increasing even more. The price of the property is 9 million DOP ($168,000 USD) which leaves a gap of, roughly, 3,869,219 DOP ($71,665 USD). 

 

 

Your donation is of vital importance in this matter and no amount is too small. The possibility of this acquisition is extremely likely and there is a great hope to avoid needing to withdraw a loan in order to do so. Being able to purchase the property outright would be a huge benefit to the devotees in Santo Domingo as they could immediately start Deity worship, outreach programs, festivals, repairs, and adding furniture (just to name a new things) without having the burden of a monthly loan payment.
