Why was Arjuna excluded from the boon?

Lord Shiva excluded Arjuna from Jayadratha’s boon of being invincible against Pandavas because Arjuna had pashupata astra. But lord Shiva prohibited Arjuna from using this Astra anyway, then why was Arjuna excluded from the boon?

Lord Shiva excluded Arjuna for one important and primary reason.

The person who enjoys full and complete support of the Supreme Narayana CANNOT be defeated.

Boons will not work, weapons will fail, for HIS presence bestows invincibility upon the devotee.

So that is the answer.
