Did Draupadi love Nakula and Sahadeva?
Yes Draupadi loved Nakul and Sahadev a lot. She might have also had a soft corner for them as they were the youngest among the brothers(maybe her age) and never got the due they actually deserved.
The Vyas Mahabharat is full of references which indicate how much she loved them.
1. She gave birth to sons fathered by them
2. She never protested against their marriage with her.
3. She lamented for them in front of Yudhishthir at the beginning of the exile.
4. She sung their praises highly when Jaydrath asked her to identify them.
5. She lamented for them when she went to Bhim to get rid of Kichak.
6. She always called Nakul as the most handsome, best swordsman, intelligent, devoted brother, one who kept knowledge of Dharma and Economics and a man with great memory.
7. Similarly she always reserved her best praise for Sahadev and took special care of him during the exile.
8. During a tough climb over a mountain, Draupadi fainted and fell. It was Nakul who ran to her and rescued her. Then alongwith Sahadev he pressed her feet, treated her and ensured she was back to Normal. This cannot happen without mutual love.
9. After all her sons were killed, Yudhishthir sent Nakul to get her. Perhaps, he knew that Nakul was the only one capable to break such a horrific news to her.
10. In Shanti Parva she said that my 5 husbands are like five senses. I would have been happy even with one, getting 5 has increased my happiness 5 times.
11. She never blamed them for her sufferings because she knew that, despite being powerful, they did not take many decisions in the Pandava family as they were the youngest.
People always talk about Arjun-Draupadi or Bhim- Draupadi but for me Nakul-Draupadi was one of the best pair of that era. The most beautiful woman and the most handsome man. The best swordsman and the princess from Panchal. Wow. Both of them must have been a sight to behold.
