Kṛṣṇa is the avatārī, the source of all avatāras, while Nārāyaṇa, the Lord of the spiritual sky (Vaikuṇṭha), is Kṛṣṇa’s expansion (vilāsa). Kṛṣṇa Himself is the original form and is independent of any other form.
A host of associates who are His complete energies, such as Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī;
1) the sweetness of the sound of His flute, which bewilders all moving and non-moving beings;
2) the sweetness of His form, which astonishes even Himself;
3) a transcendental ocean with waves full of pastimes which are astonishing to all and
4) display qualities such as unsurpassed mercy —
these four uncommon qualities are found only in Lord Kṛṣṇa and are not manifest in Nārāyaṇa or other forms. Śrī Rādhikā, love personified and the essence of hlādinī, is the Supreme Lord’s superior potency (parā-śakti).
