💥 No need to underestimate the greatness of #Durvasa Muni. Indeed Durvasa Muni is the greatest mystic and many stories have been described in Puranas when Krishna Himself obeyed him. Mahabharat has an amazing story which happened in #Dvaraka. Krishna himself tells this story of Samba to emphasize to what extent Brahmins should be respected. The role of Durvasa Muni is very significant, because Durvasa Mooni goes around and checks how much people follow Vedic culture. There are two fundamental principles in Vedic culture: obedience to Brahmins and the principle of hospitality. And Durvasa Muni checks everyone, how much they follow the principles of Vedic culture, how devoted people are to Vedic culture.

Krishna recounts that one day Durvasa Muni came to Dwaraka and started walking the squares singing a song, “Who will welcome me?” Who will welcome me to visit? But chur don’t be mad at me because I don’t recommend anyone to be mad at me. ”
Krishna says he was green in colour (durva means grass durva and one of the meanings of the word durvas means green). He was dark green, he had a long, tangled beard, he was the tallest (he was meters, I don’t know how much, – 5-6), in general, tall, old, thin with a beard, dressed in shaggy, burning Brahmanic Tejas. He went, and everyone hid in the horror of having him as a guest.
And Krishna said, “Then I had nothing left but to go out Himself and invite him to have a feast at my place.”
This is where it begins! Sometimes this Brahman has eaten meals for a thousand people! And God forbid that he doesn’t lack. On the other days, he didn’t eat anything at all, refused everything. Sometimes he left and did not come and we waited for him until the very late night, until the very morning, do not go to bed. Sometimes he would get up a little early and start screaming that he needs something and that he should be served. Sometimes he sat quietly, for days he sat without moving. And it was impossible to predict, you had to think every moment what he would want the next moment.
And Krishna sat him on the throne, Krishna washed his feet with great humility, again to show how Kshatriya’s should act, how masters should act towards their guests, He washed his feet, and Durvasa Muni then began to test Him. At one point he walked into the bedroom made for him, where luxurious beds were laid out for him. By the power of his anger, he burned down the room, all the beds, also in the fire of flames, all the furniture and even charming young maids, who, dressed in luxurious clothes and decorated with jewels, were ready to serve the sage with all diligence.
Then he began to walk around the palace and look: “Oh, what a nice vase!” ”
I took a precious vase and threw it on the floor: “Oh, it broke!” ” ( laughter ) …
Then he began to put some dishes on the table, everything fell out of his hands. Saw some precious fabric, took it and stretched it with my hands: ,,Oh, it broke!!! ”
Krishna says to him: “It’s all Yours!” It broke down, well, what to do, it was probably rotten! And the vase, – was a stupid vase, that’s where it’s expensive! ”
Durvasa Muni broke all his furniture, tore all the curtains, smashed all the dishes! Then he began to demand: “Come on, feed me!” “And this Durvasa Muni, he may not eat for a thousand years, but when he does, he may in one day eat what he hasn’t eaten in a thousand years lol)… They began to drag dish after dish, he ate, ate, he is a real yogi! He backed off in the end. The last dish in a true Vedic feast is always sweet rice or rice boiled with milk because all other foods are usually very spicy and those who have been to India know that the fire is about to break out at the end and it has to be extinguished slightly and it is usually extinguished with this sweet rice. And the synonym of the name of this dish is sweet rice – called paramananda, which means supreme bliss. And a man eats a little of this sweet rice and everything, comes in balance with this bliss.
And Durvasa Muni demanded: “Where is the sweet rice?” Where is the belt? ”
I (Krishna speaking) brought him a huge chang of sweet rice boiled in hot, boiling milk. He tried a little, then looked at me and said, “Phew! I am full, already. ”
He said: “Since I’ve already eaten, I can’t eat anymore, but I want to respect You, take this sweet rice and spread Your body with it! ”
If the guest asks, you have to make it!
Krishna submissively, took this sweet, sticky rice and began to lubricate His body. Durvasa Muni was sitting and enjoying. There was some sweet rice left, and he took that sweet rice and started to rub Rukmini who was standing nearby. Krishna watched him smearing Rukmini.
Well that wasn’t enough ! It wasn’t enough for him, he ordered Rukmini to be chained to a wheelchair. He himself sat on this chariot and #Rukmini took him through the streets of Dwaraki in plain sight. People stood watching and thought: what’s going on?! Rukmini is Krishna’s favorite queen, drives someone around the Dwaraka, strapped to a Brahman’s carriage! People were talking among themselves. Krishna says, “I heard people saying, “May these Brahmins die!” Brahmins are worse than snakes! We wish that there would be no one on earth except Brahmins, let them mock each other! They walk around and mock people! ”
Krishna says, “I was walking and I was not angry at all, I thought: Brahman is a guest, if he wants, then he needs.” Here Rukmini began to stiff and fell and then Durvasa Muni took the whip into his hands and flapped her. She got up in horror and moved on. But Durwase Mooney didn’t like her driving too slow, so he angrily jumped off the trolley and rushed somewhere without knowing the road. Then Krishna says, I have harnessed the best horses and followed him. He stopped and asked what do you want from me Why are you chasing Me? ”
I humbly folded my palms and asked, “Brahman, I want one thing – I want to serve you.”
There he stopped and started crying. He started saying, “Krishna, you have defeated me.” There is no one above You in the whole universe! You’re the only one who restrained Your anger! I will bless thee! ”
He has given Him some very important blessings. “You smeared your whole body with this porridge! »
Krishna still stood before Him, smeared with sweet rice.
He says “you did good.” I will bless thee! In all three worlds, Your glory will be eternal at all times and Your position as the Supreme Personality will remain unchanged. Everything that I burned, tore down, destroyed in Your kingdom will be restored immediately, everything will be as it was before.
Oh Achyuta ! You’ll stay young for as long as you need. But unfortunately, you did not spread Your heel of porridge. I don’t condone this but what?! Your heel will be vulnerable. (It so happened that Krishna had left this world when a hunter hit his heel with an arrow, taking a deer’s head).
Next blessing I give you – as long as people love food, they will love you the same way, all people as long as they have an affinity to food.”
He looked at poor Rukmini standing beside him and said, “Oh dear daughter of Rukmini, I bless you too!” Among all the girls in the universe, you shall be the most glorified; old age and disease will never overtake you, and exceptional beauty will be your constant fortune. You will be considered the best of sixteen thousand queens of Krishna, and Krishna will love you the most!
And the Rukmini has bloomed.
– Out of all the 16,000 wives, you will be the most loved!

Durvasa suddenly disappeared after saying this.

This story is in Mahabharata which Krishna tells to make everyone understand the greatness of Brahmins. Addressing Samba, He says, “You have to serve the Brahmins as I served the #Brahmana.” ”

The role of Durvasa Muni, once again, is to test the level of willingness of people to serve the Brahmins.
