On the order of Indra, his elephant carrier Airavata used his trunk to bathe Sri Krishna with the water of the heavenly Ganga.
Near the kunda on top of the hill are the impressions of Airavata’s feet.

Surabhi Kunda, Indra Kunda and Airavata Kunda are all in Kadamba Van forest.
It is said that Radha and Krishna would meet in this forest and have pastimes here.
After you leave the Apsara Kunda area you can either walk on the dirt path, close to Govardhana Hill, or follow the paved road.

Retracing our footsteps back past Surabhi Kunda, we come to Airavata Kunda.
Airavata is Indra’s elephant carrier.
He deposited the heavenly waters of Ganga here at this place for the purpose of bathing Lord Krsna.
Anyone who bathes in this kunda will attain Radha-Krsna.
