In Hindu mythology, just prior to the start of the Mahabharata war, Lord Krishna instructed Arjuna on the Bhagavad Gita on the Kurukshetra battlefield. The whole talk between Master Krishna and Arjuna, which includes 18 parts and 700 refrains, is accepted to have occurred over a time of 18 days. Arjuna received instruction from Lord Krishna each day on how to deal with the difficulties he was facing and lead a life of righteousness as he was shown a new aspect of the eternal truth. The Bhagavad Gita’s teachings are still relevant today and are regarded as a guide to spiritual and moral behavior.
