Dear Maharajs and Prabhus,

Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

We are pleased to announce the upcoming Sanga for GBC, Gurus, and Sannyasis (SGGS), scheduled to take place on the 5,6 and 7 March 2023 at Mayapur. It is with great enthusiasm that we share with you the comprehensive details of this event, to enhance your involvement and engagement and extend an invitation to nominate representatives.

The Essence of SGGS: Since its inception in 2013, the SGGS platform aims to fulfill Srila Prabhupada’s desire for cooperation among top leaders with the primary objective of fostering shared vision, unity in diversity and loving and trusting relationships. At its core, SGGS nurtures open dialogues and communication between the GBC, gurus, and sannyasis. By fostering conversations, it empowers us to collectively address significant matters and make decisions that reflect the teachings of Srila Prabhupada.

SGGS Structure: The SGGS event coordination will be facilitated by three primary committees namely:

  • SGGS Executive Secretariat (ES): The ES will tie all the threads togethers to accomplish the objective of the event, facilitate overall coordination and liaise between the various stakeholders involved in relation to hosting the SGGS

  • SGGS Advisory Committee: To ensure a well-rounded perspective, the Advisory Committee is envisioned to comprise of two members each of GBC, Guru and Sannyasis, who shall play an integral role in shaping the events. They are entrusted with providing strategic guidance to the coordinators in planning and executing SGGS and ensure it aligns and adheres with philosophical principles and values of ISKCON and Srila Prabhupada.

  • SGGS Organising Committee: The Organising Committee shall offer logistical support for the event. Their responsibilities span from coordinating accommodations, scheduling format, handling registrations, arranging prasadam, orchestrating branding and promotions, extending technical support, and more

The selection of committee members will encompass a one-year tenure, with the option for revisions as required to maintain effectiveness.

In our endeavor to uphold the core objectives of this gathering, we extend an invitation to nominate a representative each from the GBC, Guru Services Committee and the Sannyas Committee. If you would like to submit your nomination, kindly send the same on or before 20 September 2023 at the email given below.

Furthermore, your invaluable insights, comments, and suggestions regarding SGGS are eagerly sought. We encourage you to connect with us for any inquiries or to arrange a Zoom meeting with the SGGS Executive Secretariat and we will be glad to facilitate the same. Kindly forward the nomination request and/or any correspondence to: iskconsggs.contact@gmail.com

Your contribution is invaluable to us.

Your servants,

SGGS Executive Secretariat
