Kaliya-damana-ghata, Vrindavana ghata
This ghata is also called Kaliya-daha, and is situated on the old bank of the Yamuna about half a mile north of Varaha-ghata. The pastime of this place has already been described. When Sri Krishna reached the riverbank after subduing Kaliya, Vrajaraja Nanda and Vrajesvari Sri Yasoda soaked Him with their tears, and very carefully and thoroughly examined His body. They wondered, “Has our lala been hurt anywhere?” Here, Maharaja Nanda donated many cows to the brahmanas for Krishna’s welfare.
