Anga is well described in the Mahabharata  as a kingdom in the eastern parts of India. In the Mahabharata, the Anga king Romapada was a friend of Kaushal Ayodhya Chakravorty most mighty warrior king Dasrath . Dasrath ji had one daughter also Santha,  elder sister of  Bhagwan Sri Ram. So, King Dasrath ji had given his daughter to him as Rompada was childless.  Santa lived as the daughter of Romapada at Angha, during Treta time. Rompada was in relation with King Dasrath ji also.

It is believed that there were many Anga kings who ruled different parts of Anga kingdom, contemporary to Karna. Champapuri was the capital of Anga Desh, ruled by Karna. It is presently in Magadh Monghyre Bihar(south-west Bihar )  king Jarasandh also gifted another city called Malinipuri  to the Anga king Karna. It is also in Bihar state now.
The founders of five eastern kingdoms, which included: – Angas (eastern Bihar, Jharkhand  and West Bengal) Vangaas (southern West Bengal and Bangladesh) ,KALINGA (ORISSA) As you know, earlier, whole West Bengal, Oddisha and even Bangladesh were the part of Magadh (Bihar), West Bengal was parted from Bihar during Colonial rule here.

Karna was of the views in similarity and equality among his all subjects. He was a great Devotee of Sun god. He was also a kind hear ted and had married two girls. His wife were also Pativrata women. Her one wife was over pious women so, when she heared that her husband was killed by Arjuna in Mahabharta war, she offered herself into pyre of her husband fire. He had almost ten sons, who were also mighty warrior. Karna was a great Doner also.

He never disrespected any Brahamin, Gau, and poor. That is why, he was also named as Daanvir Karna. Once, Sri Krishna and Arjuna went to Angh Naresh in disguise of Brahamin and asked for sandal wooden. During that time, it was raining and all woods were drenched, so Karna at once, took out the axe and cut his place Doors and windows. Sri Krishna in Brahamin disguise appreciated Karna much and told that he was more Daanvir than Yudhishter, Dharmraj.

No more definition about his rule was described in Mahabharata. /Jay Sri Ram/
