Sita had been found safe and sound, he had encouraged her. He had also seen Lanka, its fortifications, and the number of adversaries. But he also needed to know their individual strength, their fighting prowess. And above all, he wanted to meet Ravana. Within minutes, he destroyed the entire Ashoka garden. The alarm ran through the city and Ravana was warned of what had happened.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Informed of the presence of an ape-shaped enemy, Ravana sent the powerful son of Prahasta to eliminate him, but after a short fight, Hanuman killed him. Then, he continued to destroy the surrounding forests and the sanctuary. During the work of devastation he killed many soldiers who tried to oppose him. Using a huge marble pillar, Hanuman slaughtered the other seven sons of Prahasta along with the soldiers who followed them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">It was terrible. He moved with impressive speed and it was difficult even to see him. His blows\u2019 force was so great that no one survived the first one. Terrified, many Raksasas fled. As the news of the defeats came, Ravana was surprised and indignant. Many good fighters defeated by a monkey! He even sent one of his sons, the mighty Prince Aksha, but he too was killed. Tired of those massacres, Ravana summoned Indrajit, his eldest son, who ran to the place where Hanuman was still engaged in a massive work of destruction, and a terrible duel broke out. But the virtuous Vanara had decided it was time to see the king himself and allowed himself to be captured.
