Satisfied and already convinced, Hanuman led the two brothers through a secret passage to Sugriva’s hideout. The prince and the Vanara made a pact of alliance, promising each other mutual assistance. Rama, intrigued by the situation of fear in which Sugriva and his powerful allies lived, was curious to know the reason.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Why did you run away from your kingdom?” Rama asked him. “Why are you hiding? And why are you afraid of your brother Vali? You are all very strong and valiant: who is this Vali who can terrify you so much?”<\/span><\/p>\n

Sugriva told his sad story.<\/span><\/p>\n
