Rama, Sita, Hanuman, Ravana, and all the other characters that make up the vast horizon of the poem trully existed. Its historical basis and its antiquity have been more than proven. A simple trip to Ayodhya, going all the way that Rama made to the suggestive Ramesvaram would be enough to dispel any doubts.
