Thank you for explaining how offering the milk of cows to Krishna may be liberating to the soul of the cow. Might it be more compassionate to offer only milk from cows that are treated with love and respect, such as the cows kept at some Temples or farms considered organic, rather than the cows forced to suffer in industrial farms? Also, since many people are sensitive to milk products, could they be considered an opulence for Krishna to enjoy although we might abstain?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

All cows, like humans, need to be helped to transcend their material bodies and go back to Godhead. This is true for those who are treated well and those who are treated badly.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We must have in mind the spiritual well-being of all and then also the material one, knowing well that we will never be able to make everyone in this world be happy, because this world is not made for us to be really happy.<\/span><\/p>\n

We as Vaisnavas are not obliged to drink and eat milk and its derivatives. If for any reason one does not want to or cannot, he can eat something else, but the important thing is that it does not become a philosophy, an ideal, which we reject.<\/span><\/p>\n

We have a positive opinion towards non-philosophical veganism, while vegans have a negative opinion towards us and vegetarians. My son, who is vegan, told me that we are worse than meat eaters.<\/span><\/p>\n

As for music, the spiritual world is full of music, song and dance. So you have a lot of chance in this life to serve Krishna with your art.<\/span><\/p>\n
