Rasa nama-svarupa<\/span><\/p>\n

The Name is akhanda-rasa[1]<\/a> and it is the budding flower which blooms, disseminating itself throughout the universe in the form of Names, such as Krishna and others[2]<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/a>Rasa is the nature of Krishna\u2019s Form<\/span><\/h2>\n

Rasa rupa-svarupa<\/span><\/p>\n

When that flower begins to open, the charming form of the Lord is revealed as Sri Syamasundara in Goloka Vrindavana.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/a>Rasa is the nature of Krishna’s Qualities<\/span><\/h2>\n

Rasa guna-svarupa<\/span><\/p>\n

As the bud produces its fragrance, the Name manifests the sixty-four qualities. Tattva experts know this[3]<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/a>Rasa is the nature of Krishna\u2019s Lila<\/span><\/h2>\n

Rasa lila-svarupa<\/span><\/p>\n

When fully bloomed, the beautiful flower of the Name becomes the Asta-kaliya-lila[4]<\/a>, which transcends matter.<\/span><\/p>\n

[1]<\/a> The word akhanda here is translated as a thing that cannot be divided, dissected, nor fragmented. But it also means causeless, eternal. The term akhanda-rasa needs more explanation.<\/span><\/p>\n

[2]<\/a> O my Lord, only Your Holy Name can offer every blessing to living beings, and therefore You have hundreds and millions of Names like Krishna and Govinda. In these transcendental Names you have invested all Your transcendental energies. There are no hard and fast rules for chanting these names either. O my Lord, out of kindness You allow us to easily approach You through Your holy Names, but I am so unfortunate that I feel no attraction towards Them. \u2013 Siksastakam #2<\/span><\/p>\n

[3]<\/a> Those who are well-versed in the science of tattva know that just as when a flower opens partially and its fragrance can be smelled, the devotee begins to perceive the fragrance of the sixty-four qualities of Krishna.<\/span><\/p>\n

[4]<\/a> The eternal pastimes that happen at eight different times of the day.<\/span><\/p>\n
