Sevaparadha<\/span><\/p>\n

Glory to Gaura-Gadadhara and the life of Jahnava. Glory to the Lord of Sita, Srivasa and devotees.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sri Hari Dasa \u1e6chakura was appointed as the Acarya of Nama-Tattva.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mahaprabhu said: Listen, Bhakta Hari Dasa, you have revealed the truth about namaparadha.<\/span><\/p>\n

Due to this, the Jiva of the age of Kali will attain everything positive. You are the great acarya of nama-tattva.<\/span><\/p>\n

O Mahajana, please listen, I am very pleased to hear from your mouth matters relating to nama-tattva.<\/span><\/p>\n

You are the acarya of good conduct and are very learned in teaching. Your character is adorned with the jewel of the Holy Name.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ramananda taught Me rasa-tattva and you taught Me the glories of the Name.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now tell Me, what are the other types of offenses on seva? When the Jiva listen to your explanations, the darkness in their hearts will vanish.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hari Dasa said: Those who engage in seva know this theme. I took refuge in the Name and nothing else. How do I know about offenses to seva?<\/span><\/p>\n

However, I am obliged to answer you. Whatever You make me say, I will explain in detail.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/a>The number of offenses to service<\/span><\/h2>\n

Sevaparadha sankhya<\/span><\/p>\n

Many offenses can be committed during seva[1]<\/a>. All Sastra describe them in relation to Sri-murti[2]<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

O jewel of all divine qualities, some Sastra enumerate thirty-two offenses and others fifty.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/a>The four types<\/span><\/h2>\n

Catur-vidha<\/span><\/p>\n

The Sastra and sages divide these offenses into four categories.<\/span><\/p>\n

These refer to those who serve the Deity, in installing the Deity, in taking care of the Deity and other types of sevaparadha, offenses in service.<\/span><\/p>\n

[2]<\/a> Deity on the altar.<\/span><\/p>\n
