Then the Jiva acquires the wealth of prema.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">He who accepts the useless secondary meanings of the Srutis turns away from the eternal truth and perishes due to his offense.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">All the Vedas agree that pranava Om is the Name of Krishna. By chanting that Name, the Jivas can reach the eternal abode.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Pranava, the great word<a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\">[2]<\/a> of the Vedas, is a Name of Krishna. A devotee takes eternal refuge in this Name.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">The Vedas declare to the world the spiritual nature of nama. Even with a namabhasa<a href=\"#_ftn3\" name=\"_ftnref3\">[3]<\/a>, all kinds of perfections are achieved.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc159506324\"><\/a><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">The Vedas only give instructions on pure Nama-bhajana<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Veda kevala suddha-nama-bhajana siksa dena<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Those who are unfortunate do not understand all the teachings found within the Veda and do offense to the Name by criticizing the Vedas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Mahajanas who practice Suddha-nama take refuge in the Vedas and attain nama-rasa and the treasure of prema.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">All the Vedas say, \u201cChant Hari-nama, that is the essence! By chanting, you will get the highest kind of love and unlimited bliss.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">The Vedas also say: In the spiritual world, the realized Mahajanas constantly chant nama-sankirtana.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc159506325\"><\/a><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">The teachings of the Tamasika Tantras are opposite to the Vedas<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Tamasa-tantra siksa veda viruddha<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">In Kali-yuga many people worship Maya-sakti, rejecting the transcendental personality and rasa of krishna-nama.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Followers of tantras who are in the mode of ignorance criticize the Vedas. Finding pleasure in wine and meat, they die due to their adharma<a href=\"#_ftn4\" name=\"_ftnref4\">[4]<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">All these critics never accept Krishna-nama. They never reach Krishna&#8217;s abode in Vrindavana.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc159506326\"><\/a><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">The need for mercy by Maya Devi<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Maya-devira niskapata krpa-i prayojana<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Maya Devi forces all these atheists to fall and is not inclined to give them the nectar of the Holy Name.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">But if Maya is satisfied with their service to a sadhu, then she will unreservedly give them the shadow of Krishna&#8217;s feet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Maya is the servant of Krishna and punishes the Jivas who are averse to the Lord. Those hypocrites who worship Maya will never attain auspiciousness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">To those who chant Krishna-nama, Maya Devi gives niskapata-krpa<a href=\"#_ftn5\" name=\"_ftnref5\">[5]<\/a> and thus they can go beyond material nature.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Therefore, one should abandon the offense of Sruti-ninda<a href=\"#_ftn6\" name=\"_ftnref6\">[6]<\/a> and day by day absorb oneself in the rasa of nama-sankirtana.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc159506327\"><\/a><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">The remedy for this offense<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Tad-aparadhera pratikara<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">If I foolishly criticize the Srutis, I must repent and offer them respect again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">I have to offer them flowers and tulasi, I have to constantly worship them along with Bhagavata with great care.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">The Bhagavata<a href=\"#_ftn7\" name=\"_ftnref7\">[7]<\/a> is the essence of Sruti and is an avatara of Krishna.
