But throughout his life he should continue to accept the shelter of his former Guru&#8217;s feet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Among the grihasthas, a Guru living in his house is glorious if he is a pure devotee. However, those who have already renounced their home should seek an appropriate Guru. At all times, the Guru must be competent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Having accepted a true Guru, one should worship him with devotion. When bhava arises, one becomes indifferent to the world and renounces it. So, he becomes a renunciate.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc159506292\"><\/a><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">One who takes refuge in renunciation should accept a Guru who is a renunciate<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Yini vairagya asraye laibena tini vairagi Guru kariben<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">One in vairagya-asrama<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a> should accept a renunciate as his Guru. At his feet one will learn renunciation. Such a Guru is a wish-fulfilling tree of spiritual instructions.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc159506293\"><\/a><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Diksa and Siksa-Gurus should be given equal respect<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Diksa o siksa-guru ubhayakei samana sammana kara avasyaka<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Diksa and Siksa are the two types of Gurus, and both should be respected equally. If they wish, they can easily bestow the highest wealth on a suitable recipient.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">The Diksa Guru gives the krishna-nama mantra<a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\">[2]<\/a> and the Siksa Guru imparts tattva<a href=\"#_ftn3\" name=\"_ftnref3\">[3]<\/a>. All Vaishnavas can become Siksa Gurus and thus create all auspiciousness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[1]<\/a> Sannyasa<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref2\" name=\"_ftn2\">[2]<\/a> You can have only one diksa, or initiation, in your life.
