Therefore, mayavada is the exact opposite of bhakti.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Mayavada is counted among the enemies of bhakti. Thus, the Mayavadis are offenders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">The Holy Name does not come from the mouth of a mayavadi. If a Name were to emerge from him, it would not be the true Holy Name.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">If a mayavadi chants the Holy Name thinking that it is temporary, he will fall.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">If he prays to the Holy Name for sense enjoyment or liberation, the Holy Name deceives him, and the result is only misery.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc159506232\"><\/a><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">When the Mayavadi abandons his offense<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Mayavadira aparadha kakhana chade<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">However, if a mayavadi renounces the desire for sense enjoyment and liberation and chants the Holy Name, then he becomes a Krishna-dasa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">At that time, he rejects the wicked mayavada philosophy and, feeling remorse, becomes a follower of the Holy Name.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">In the company of sadhus, he hears and chants constantly, and true sambandha-jnana<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a> emerges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">He never tires of the Holy Name and tears will fall from his eyes. Obtaining the mercy of the Holy Name, his heart becomes very strong.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc159506233\"><\/a><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">By stating that Bhakti is not eternal, Mayavada is offensive<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Bhaktike anitya baliya mayavada aparadha haiyache<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">The Mayavada states that the form of Krishna and service to Krishna, which is the inherent position of the Jiva, are completely imaginary and temporary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Therefore, mayavada is among the offenses against the Holy Name. Mayavada is the repository of all kinds of misfortunes.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc159506234\"><\/a><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Through Namabhasa the Mayavadi obtains Sayujya, a Glimmer of Liberation<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Mayavadi namabhase muktyabhasa-rupe sayujya labha kare<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Like a desire tree, namabhasa gives the mayavadi the liberation of sayujya-nirvana, which is the object of their greed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">When the Holy Name, which contains all potencies, is reflected as pratimbimba-namabhasa, it gives muktyabhasa<a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\">[2]<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Among the five types of mukti, sayujya<a href=\"#_ftn3\" name=\"_ftnref3\">[3]<\/a> is an abhasa<a href=\"#_ftn4\" name=\"_ftnref4\">[4]<\/a>. It eliminates all suffering but ends up destroying everything.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc159506235\"><\/a><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">A Mayavadi never attains eternal bliss<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Mayavadi nitya-sukha paya na<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Confused by Maya, such people think that they will attain bliss. When they reach sayujya-nirvana, they get only sukhabhasa<a href=\"#_ftn5\" name=\"_ftnref5\">[5]<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Service to Him who is eternal, blissful and full of knowledge is the highest kind of liberation. But this is never achieved by attaining sayujya, where the memory of Krishna is erased.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">How can eternal happiness ever be revealed to one who believes that bhakti and prema are transitory?<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc159506236\"><\/a><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">He who chants Chaya Namabhasa does not follow deviant philosophies, but ultimately attains Suddha-nama<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Chaya-namabhasi dusta-mate na pravesa karile krame suddha = nama paiya thakena<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">One who chants chaya-namabhasa does not accept deviant philosophies. His strong mind is not ruined by invented human theories.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">He cannot understand the strength of the Holy Name. It is the very nature of the Name to give knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">When the sunlight is covered by clouds it cannot be viewed. But when the clouds dissipate, the sun appears<a href=\"#_ftn6\" name=\"_ftnref6\">[6]<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">When one who chants chaya-namabhasa receives power from a bona fide Guru, after a few days he attains nama-prema without any effort.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc159506237\"><\/a><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Devotees must certainly abandon the company of Mayavadis<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Bhaktera mayavadira sanga avasya parityajya<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">One who carefully avoids the company of mayavadis should render service to those who are attached to Suddha-nama.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">O Sri Krishna Caitanya, those Jivas who follow Your instructions are very fortunate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Those Jivas who do not follow Your instructions are useless and detestable. They cannot achieve liberation even after millions of births.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">O Prabhu, with Your protection one can avoid bad company. Without Your lotus feet, I see no other way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">He who takes pleasure in the feet of Hari Dasa, continuously chants this Hari-nama Cintamani.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">iti sri-hari-nama-cintamanau<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">namabhasa-varnanam nama trtiyah pariccheda\u1e25<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Thus ends the third chapter of Sri Hari-nama Cintamani entitled<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">\u201cA Deliberation on Namabhasa\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[1]<\/a> Sambandha-jnana, knowledge of one&#8217;s relationship with Krishna.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref2\" name=\"_ftn2\">[2]<\/a> A glimmer of liberation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref3\" name=\"_ftn3\">[3]<\/a> Impersonal liberation<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref4\" name=\"_ftn4\">[4]<\/a> A glimmer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref5\" name=\"_ftn5\">[5]<\/a> A glimmer of happiness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref6\" name=\"_ftn6\">[6]<\/a> The clouds do not cover the sun, but they cover our vision of it. To see the sun, it is necessary for the clouds to dissipate.
