With namabhasa, liberation is achieved and Kali-yuga has no effect on the devotee.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">With namabhasa, simply by his presence a man can purify the places he visits. Thanks to namabhasa, all diseases are cured.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">All fears flee from namabhasa. All misfortunes are canceled for one who chants namabhasa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Yaksas, Raksasas, Bhutas, Pretas, maleficent planets and all anarthas keep away from namabhasa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Those who have fallen into a hellish condition are liberated and all prarabdha-karma<a href=\"#_ftn3\" name=\"_ftnref3\">[3]<\/a> vanishes due to namabhasa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Namabhasa is superior to all the Vedas and all the sacred tirthas<a href=\"#_ftn4\" name=\"_ftnref4\">[4]<\/a>. Namabhasa is the greatest of all virtuous karmic actions.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc159506217\"><\/a><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">The attainment of Vaikuntha of Namabhasa<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Namabhasera vaikunthadi-prapakatva<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Namabhasa rewards the four ends of life, namely dharma, artha, kama and moksa<a href=\"#_ftn5\" name=\"_ftnref5\">[5]<\/a>. Being omnipotent, namabhasa liberates the Jivas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">It gives bliss to the world and grants the highest abode. For those who have no shelter, it is the only refuge and the best of all the kingdoms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Through namabhasa the devotee can reach Vaikuntha and other spiritual abodes. All the Sastras state that it is a practice specific to Kali-yuga.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc159506218\"><\/a><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Indirect chanting, joking, disrespect and negligence \u2013 these are the four types of Namabhasa<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Sanketa, parihasa, stobha o hela ei cari-prakara namabhasa<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">I know only four types of namabhasa: sanketa<a href=\"#_ftn6\" name=\"_ftnref6\">[6]<\/a>, parihasa<a href=\"#_ftn7\" name=\"_ftnref7\">[7]<\/a>, stobha<a href=\"#_ftn8\" name=\"_ftnref8\">[8]<\/a>, and hela<a href=\"#_ftn9\" name=\"_ftnref9\">[9]<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc159506219\"><\/a><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">The two types of Sanketa Namabhasa, or indirect chanting<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Sanketa-rupa namabhasera prakara-dvaya<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Chanting the Holy Name referring to Vishnu, but with a material conception, and involuntarily chanting the Holy Name of Vishnu \u2013 these are the two types of sanketa namabhasa. The Sastras mention Ajamila as an example.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">All the Yavanas are easily liberated when they say, &#8216;Haram! Haram!&#8217; This is said to be namabhasa of the second kind<a href=\"#_ftn10\" name=\"_ftnref10\">[10]<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[1]<\/a> Chanting Hare Krishna in an impure manner is better than any other discipline, such as dharma, yoga and others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref2\" name=\"_ftn2\">[2]<\/a> The sukriti are the merits accumulated in this life or in the past.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref3\" name=\"_ftn3\">[3]<\/a> The results of previous activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref4\" name=\"_ftn4\">[4]<\/a> Sacred places.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref5\" name=\"_ftn5\">[5]<\/a> Religiosity, wealth, enjoyment of the senses and liberation respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref6\" name=\"_ftn6\">[6]<\/a> Indirectly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref7\" name=\"_ftn7\">[7]<\/a> Jokingly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref8\" name=\"_ftn8\">[8]<\/a> Disrespectfully.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref9\" name=\"_ftn9\">[9]<\/a> Neglectfully.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref10\" name=\"_ftn10\">[10]<\/a> The word haram is an Arabic word that refers to a prohibited activity. However, in India, ha-ram means &#8220;O Rama!&#8221; So, since the Name of Rama is included, it is considered namabhasa.
