What will happen, and who will have to cry for their loved ones?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">\u201cDhritarastra\u2019s sons are evil, and because of their wickedness, the entire lineage of the Kshatriyas of the earth will perish in a terrible war. There is nothing that can be done to avoid it, as Dhritarastra refused to follow Vidura\u2019s advice at the time of Duryodhana&#8217;s birth. This war is willed by the Devas and by the Supreme Lord Himself. Soon, much pain will flow like a curse over all of Bharata-varsha.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Satyavati knew that Vyasa&#8217;s words could not be proven wrong, so, not wanting to witness those catastrophic events, she announced that she wanted to retire to a meditative life in the forest.
