Therefore, go thou thyself and forcibly bring hither the daughter of Yajnasena, Our enemies at present are dependent on our will. What can they do thee?&#8217;<\/p>\n<div class=\"q-absolute qu-borderRadius--pill QTextBlockQuote___StyledAbsolute-an1wlz-0 dFXrtQ\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">LXVI Sabha Parva<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">So Dussasan was acting according to his brother\u2019s word and assurance that he should not fear Pandavas who are now slaves.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"q-relative qu-color--gray\">\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">Hearing the command of his brother, prince Dussasana rose with blood-red eyes, and entering the abode of those great warriors, spake these words unto the princess, &#8216;Come, come, O Krishna, princess of Panchala, thou hast been won by us. And Othou of eyes large as lotus leaves, come now and accept the Kurus for thy lords. Thou hast been won virtuously, come to the <span class=\"q-inline\"><a class=\"q-box Link___StyledBox-t2xg9c-0 dFkjrQ puppeteer_test_link qu-cursor--pointer qu-hover--textDecoration--underline\" title=\"www.sacred-texts.com\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sacred-texts.com\/hin\/m02\/errata.htm#26\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">assembly<\/a><\/span>.&#8217;<\/p>\n<div class=\"q-absolute qu-borderRadius--pill QTextBlockQuote___StyledAbsolute-an1wlz-0 dFXrtQ\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">Here Dussasan dared to speak in such a way to his sister- in -law because he considered her a slave.<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">Why did he touch Draupadi without her permission?<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">He was the master who was entitled to touch the slave Draupadi won by him . No permission needed. That was .the reason for Dussasana\u2019s outlandish behaviour.<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">Draupadi was bewildered.<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">Till then she was the empress but at that moment she was ill treated by the cousin of her husbands. She ran to save herself in vain.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"q-relative qu-color--gray\">\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">At these words, Draupadi, rising up in great affliction, rubbed her pale face with her hands, and distressed she ran to the place where the ladies of Dhritarashtra&#8217;s household were. At this, Dussasana roaring in anger, ran after her and seized the queen by her locks, so long and blue and wavy.<\/p>\n<div class=\"q-absolute qu-borderRadius--pill QTextBlockQuote___StyledAbsolute-an1wlz-0 dFXrtQ\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">LXVI Sabha Parva<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">Before Draupadi could reach the Royal palace ( She was away from them because she was in her season) she was seized by Dussasana and dragged to the assembly with brutal force.<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">Why didn\u2019t she punish him?<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">First and foremost she was in shock,on seeing Dussasan behave so rudely with her.<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">Then she wanted to save herself with the help of royal ladies but could not do so.<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">Then she was dragged all the way to Dice hall.<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">All this happened in such a way that she could not even think and act .. Biggest problem was that her culprit was the cousin of her husbands,a Kuruvamshi\u2026Draupadi did not expect such attitude from Dussasana.<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">Curses won\u2019t be given as and when an offence was done. The story of Dharmavyadha in Vanaparva teaches this moral.<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">Draupadi left the task to punish her offenders to her husbands. Arjun and Bhima has to do the part otherwise they will be laughed at.<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">Panchali overlooked Dussasan at that moment and just looked at her husbands.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"q-relative qu-color--gray\">\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">And casting a glance upon her enraged lords&#8211;the Pandavas&#8211;who were filled with terrible wrath, she inflamed them further with that glance of hers. And they were not so distressed at having been robbed of their kingdom, of their wealth, of their costliest gems, as with that glance of Krishna moved by modesty and anger.<\/p>\n<div class=\"q-absolute qu-borderRadius--pill QTextBlockQuote___StyledAbsolute-an1wlz-0 dFXrtQ\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">LXVI Sabha Parva<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">Panchali\u2019s one glac\u00e9 at her husbands wrote the destiny of Dussasan and her other culprits and also those who tolerated the injustice and kept silent. She need not curse or punish Dussasan.
