\nGanga to cross by boat.<\/span>
\nThey were carrying pots of yoghurt and other milk preparations to<\/span>
\nSell in Mathura.<\/span>
\nThe boatman agreed to take them across the water and they settled <\/span>
\non a price of some sweets and butter.<\/span>
\nThe boatman rowed the boat for some time and then stopped. <\/span>
\nSrimati Radharani and the gopis asked him why he had stopped.<\/span>
\nHe told them that he was tired and hungry and could not go any <\/span>
\nfurther if they did not feed him, and so the gopis offered the boatman<\/span>
\nTheir milk products.<\/span>
\nHe ate everything then told them that he would take a nap and they <\/span>
\nShould massage his arms and legs.<\/span>
\nThe gopis told him that if he did not keep rowing the boat they would throw him overboard, and so the boatman continued rowing.<\/span>
\nAfter some time, however, he again stopped the boat, and the gopis again asked him why.<\/span>
\nHe told them,<\/span>
\n\u201c My boat is old and the water is coming in due to the weight it is carrying.<\/span>
\nYou will have to throw some things overboard, otherwise we will sink!\u201d<\/span>
\nSo the gopis threw their yogurt pots overboard. But still there was too much weight, and the boatman said, <\/span>
\n\u201c It is not enough. The water is still entering. You will have to surrender more to the waters of Manasi Ganga.\u201d<\/span>
\nSo the gopis threw their heavy jewelry overboard.<\/span><\/p>\nThen a storm came.<\/span>
\nThe wind began to blow and the waves upset the boat.<\/span>
\nAt the same time, the boatman also started rocking the boat.<\/span>
\nRadharani became frightened and put Her arms around the boatman.<\/span>
\nAt that time She realized that the boatman was Krishna.<\/span>
