If our philosophy were only such, that is, a set of information, then it would not matter who says the right things. Sri Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. If a sinner says it or an advanced devotee says it, that is the information.<\/span><\/p>\n

But ours is a devotional philosophy, that is, devotion counts, and it counts a lot. So that is, what we say, as well as what we do, contains our level of consciousness. Eating food cooked by a devotee has one effect, cooked by a non-devotee has a different effect.<\/span><\/p>\n

When we read a book written by someone whose spiritual problems we know, our level of attention and trust will unavoidably be different.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ultimately, for spiritual advancement, it is best to read the books of Srila Prabhupada or of people who have an acceptable spiritual level.<\/span><\/p>\n
