Arcan\u0101 means worship of the Deity in the temple. By executing this process, one confirms himself to be not the body, but spirit soul.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the Tenth Canto, eighty-first chapter, verse 19 of \u015ar\u012bmad-Bh\u0101gavatam, it is told how Sud\u0101m\u0101, an intimate friend of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a, while going to the house of a br\u0101hma\u1e47a, murmured to himself, \u201cSimply by worshiping K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a one can easily achieve all the results of heavenly opulence, liberation, supremacy over the planetary systems of the universe, all the opulences of this material world, and the mystic power of performing the yoga system.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The events leading to Sud\u0101m\u0101\u2019s murmuring this statement are as follow:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u015ar\u012b K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a had ordered His friend Sud\u0101m\u0101 to go to a br\u0101hma\u1e47a\u2019s house and ask for some food. The br\u0101hma\u1e47as were performing a great sacrifice, and \u015ar\u012b K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a told Sud\u0101m\u0101 to plead with them that He and Balar\u0101ma were feeling hungry and needed some food. When Sud\u0101m\u0101 went there, the br\u0101hma\u1e47as refused to offer anything, but the wives of the br\u0101hma\u1e47as, upon hearing that \u015ar\u012b K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a wanted some foodstuff, immediately took many palatable dishes and went to offer them to \u015ar\u012b K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the Vi\u1e63\u1e47u-rahasya, also, it is stated, <\/span>
\n\u201cAny person within this world who is engaged in the worship of Vi\u1e63\u1e47u can very easily achieve the ever-blissful kingdom of God, known as Vaiku\u1e47\u1e6dha-loka.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
