The city of Vayu (the wind God). There are said to be nine cities on top of Mount Mahameru :<\/p>\n

(1) Manovati of Brahma at the centre,<\/p>\n

(2) Just on the eastern *ide of it Amaravati of Indra,<\/p>\n

(3) Agni’s Tejovati in the south-eastern corner,<\/p>\n

(4) Maya’s Sarnyamani in the south,<\/p>\n

5) Nirrti’s Krsnanjana in thesouth-western corner,<\/p>\n

(6) Sraddhavati of Varuna on the west,<\/p>\n

(7) Gandhavati of Vayu in the northwestern corner,<\/p>\n

(8) Mahodaya of Kubera on the north, an&<\/p>\n

(9) Yasovati of Isana in the north-eastern corner.<\/p>\n
