He is also known as Madana-mohana due to His bestowing favors upon the damsels of Vraja and accepting their devotional service. After conquering Cupid\u2019s pride, the Lord engages in the <i>r\u0101sa<\/i> dance as the new Cupid. He is also known as Madana-mohana because of His ability to conquer the minds of women with His five arrows of form, taste, smell, sound and touch. The pearls of the necklace hanging on K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a\u2019s neck are as white as ducks, and the peacock feather decorating His head is colored like a rainbow. His yellow garment is like lightning in the sky, and K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a Himself is like a newly arrived cloud. The <i>gop\u012bs<\/i> are like food grains in the field, and when the cloud pours rain on those grains, it appears that K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a is nourishing the hearts of the <i>gop\u012bs<\/i> by calling down His pastime rain of mercy. Indeed, ducks fly in the sky during the rainy season, and rainbows can also be seen at that time. K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a freely moves among His friends as a cowherd boy in V\u1e5bnd\u0101vana, and when He plays His flute, all living creatures, mobile and immobile, are overwhelmed with ecstasy. They quiver, and tears flow from their eyes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<div id=\"bb6449\" class=\"r r-lang-en r-paragraph\">\n<p>K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a\u2019s conjugal love is the summit of His various opulences. He is the master of all riches, all strength, all fame, all beauty, all knowledge and all renunciation, and out of these, His perfect beauty is His conjugal attraction. Such perfect conjugal beauty eternally exists only in the form of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a, whereas His other opulences are present in His N\u0101r\u0101ya\u1e47a form.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<div id=\"bb6450\" class=\"r r-lang-en r-paragraph\">\n<p>As Lord Caitanya described the superexcellence of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a\u2019s conjugal attraction, He felt transcendental ecstasy, and, catching the hands of San\u0101tana Gosv\u0101m\u012b, He began to proclaim how fortunate the damsels of Vraja were, reciting a verse from <a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/10\/44\/14\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><i>\u015ar\u012bmad-Bh\u0101gavatam<\/i> (10.44.14)<\/a>:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<div id=\"bb6451\" class=\"r r-lang-en r-verse-text\"><em>gopyas tapa\u1e25 kim acaran yad amu\u1e63ya r\u016bpa\u1e41<br \/>\n<span class=\"hide\">\u2003\u2003<\/span>l\u0101va\u1e47ya-s\u0101ram asamordhvam ananya-siddham<br \/>\nd\u1e5bgbhi\u1e25 pibanty anusav\u0101bhinava\u1e41 dur\u0101pam<br \/>\n<span class=\"hide\">\u2003\u2003<\/span>ek\u0101nta-dh\u0101ma ya\u015basa\u1e25 \u015briya ai\u015bvarasya<\/em><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<div id=\"bb6452\" class=\"r r-lang-en r-paragraph\">\n<p>\u201cWhat great penance and austerities the damsels of V\u1e5bnd\u0101vana must have undergone, for they are able to drink the nectar of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a, who is all beauty, all strength, all riches and all fame, and who is the essence of all beautiful bodily luster.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<div id=\"bb6453\" class=\"r r-lang-en r-paragraph\">\n<p>The body of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a, the ocean of the eternal beauty of youth, can be seen to move in waves of beauty, and there is a whirlwind at the sound of His flute. Those waves and that whirlwind make the hearts of the <i>gop\u012bs<\/i> flutter like dry leaves on trees, and when those leaves fall down at K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a\u2019s lotus feet, they can never rise up again. There is no beauty to compare with that of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a, who is the origin of N\u0101r\u0101ya\u1e47a and all other incarnations, for no one possesses beauty equal to or greater than K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a\u2019s. Otherwise, why would the goddess of fortune, the constant companion of N\u0101r\u0101ya\u1e47a, give up His association and engage herself in penance to gain the association of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a? Such is the superexcellent beauty of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a, the everlasting mine of all beauty. It is from that beauty that all other beautiful things emanate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<div id=\"bb6454\" class=\"r r-lang-en r-paragraph\">\n<p>The attitude of the <i>gop\u012bs<\/i> is like a mirror upon which the reflection of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a\u2019s beauty develops at every moment. Both K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a and the <i>gop\u012bs<\/i> increase their transcendental beauty at every moment, and there is always transcendental competition between them. No one can appreciate the beauty of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a by properly discharging his occupational duty or by undergoing austerities, practicing mystic yoga, cultivating knowledge or offering various kinds of prayers. Only those who are on the transcendental platform of love of God, who engage in devotional service only out of love, can appreciate the transcendental beauty of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a. Such beauty is the essence of all opulences and is appreciated only in Goloka V\u1e5bnd\u0101vana and nowhere else. In the form of N\u0101r\u0101ya\u1e47a the beauties of mercy, fame, etc., are all established by K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a, but K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a\u2019s gentleness and magnanimity do not exist in N\u0101r\u0101ya\u1e47a. They are found only in K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<div id=\"bb6455\" class=\"r r-lang-en r-paragraph\">\n<p>Lord Caitanya, greatly relishing the verses of <i><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u015ar\u012bmad-Bh\u0101gavatam<\/a><\/i> He was explaining to San\u0101tana, quoted another verse (9.24.65):<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<div id=\"bb6456\" class=\"r r-lang-en r-verse-text\"><em>yasy\u0101nana\u1e41 makara-ku\u1e47\u1e0dala-c\u0101ru-kar\u1e47a-<br \/>\n<span class=\"hide\">\u2003\u2003<\/span>bhr\u0101jat-kapola-subhaga\u1e41 sa-vil\u0101sa-h\u0101sam<br \/>\nnityotsava\u1e41 na tat\u1e5bpur d\u1e5b\u015bibhi\u1e25 pibantyo<br \/>\n<span class=\"hide\">\u2003\u2003<\/span>n\u0101ryo nar\u0101\u015b ca mudit\u0101\u1e25 kupit\u0101 nime\u015b ca<\/em><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<div id=\"bb6457\" class=\"r r-lang-en r-paragraph\">\n<p>\u201cThe <i>gop\u012bs<\/i> used to relish the beauty of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a as a ceremony of perpetual enjoyment. They enjoyed the beautiful face of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a \u2013 His beautiful ears with earrings, His broad forehead, His smile \u2013 and while enjoying this sight of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a\u2019s beauty they used to criticize the creator, Brahm\u0101, for causing their vision of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a to be momentarily impeded by the blinking of their eyelids.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<div id=\"bb6458\" class=\"r r-lang-en r-paragraph\">\n<p>The Vedic hymn known as K\u0101ma-g\u0101yatr\u012b describes the face of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a as the king of all moons. In metaphorical language, there are many different full moons, but they are all one in K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a. There is the full moon of His face, the full moons of His cheeks, the full moon of the sandalwood-pulp spot on His forehead, which is a half-moon, and the beautiful full moons of His fingernails and toenails. In this way there are twenty-four and a half moons, and K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a is the central figure of all of them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<div id=\"bb6459\" class=\"r r-lang-en r-paragraph\">\n<p>The dancing movement of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a\u2019s earrings, eyes and eyebrows is very attractive to the damsels of Vraja. Activities in devotional service increase the sense of devotional service. What else is there for two eyes to see beyond the face of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a? Since one cannot sufficiently see K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a with only two eyes, one feels incapable and thus becomes bereaved. Such bereavement is slightly reduced when one criticizes the creative power of the creator. The unsatiated seer of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a\u2019s face thus laments: \u201cI do not have thousands of eyes but only two, and even these two eyes are disturbed by the movements of my eyelids. So it is to be understood that the creator of this body is not very intelligent. He is not conversant with the art of ecstasy but is simply a prosaic creator. He does not know how to arrange things properly so one can see only K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<div id=\"bb6460\" class=\"r r-lang-en r-paragraph\">\n<p>The <i>gop\u012bs\u2019<\/i> minds are always engaged in relishing the sweetness of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a\u2019s body. He is the ocean of beauty, and the luster of His body and the beauty of His face and smile are all-attractive to the minds of the <i>gop\u012bs<\/i>. In the <i>K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a-kar\u1e47\u0101m\u1e5bta,<\/i> K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a\u2019s body, face and smile have been described as sweet, sweeter and sweetest. When there are three kinds of contamination in the bodily constitution, convulsions take place. Similarly, a perfect devotee of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a experiences convulsions when he is overwhelmed by seeing the beauty of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a\u2019s body, face and smile. Before K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a\u2019s beauty, the devotee sometimes stays immersed in this ocean of transcendental convulsions without receiving treatment, just as a patient suffering ordinary convulsions may be prevented by a physician from receiving a drink of water for relief.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<div id=\"bb6461\" class=\"r r-lang-en r-paragraph\">\n<p>The devotee increasingly feels the absence of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a, for without Him one cannot drink the nectar of His beauty. When the transcendental sound of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a\u2019s flute vibrates, the devotee\u2019s anxiety to hear that flute penetrates the covering of the material world and enters the spiritual sky, where the transcendental sound of the flute enters into the ears of the <i>gop\u012bs <\/i>and their followers. The sound of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a\u2019s flute always resides within the ears of the <i>gop\u012bs<\/i> and increases their ecstasy. When they hear it, no other sound can enter their ears, and they are unable to reply properly to their family members\u2019 questions, for all these beautiful sounds are vibrating in their ears.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<div id=\"bb6462\" class=\"r r-lang-en r-paragraph\">\n<p>Thus Lord Caitanya explained the transcendental constitution of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a \u2013 His expansions, His bodily luster and everything connected with Him.
