{"id":20219,"date":"2020-10-04T04:32:57","date_gmt":"2020-10-04T08:32:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.isvara.org\/archive\/?p=20219"},"modified":"2020-10-03T10:30:24","modified_gmt":"2020-10-03T14:30:24","slug":"back-home-back-to-vrindavana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.isvara.org\/archive\/back-home-back-to-vrindavana\/","title":{"rendered":"Back home, back to Vrindavana"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">In a second all the airplane shakes were gone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">As I was sitting on the narrow seat of Airindia airplane I was reading a book and a passage said that if you ardently desire to reside in Mathura, you\u2019ll achieve it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">The glories of Vrindavana were all desplayed in that book and I was feeling moved, because I was going to that Vrindavana.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">I was deeply meditating on the land, on Yamuna, on the devotees, on the greeting of \u201cRadhe Radhe\u201d I was missing so much.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">And all at once, gone was the airplane, gone the stewards, gone the turbolences, gone my airsickness.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">I was in Vrindavana in my mind and serving the holy dhama by doing parikrama. And one by one all the most beautiful places in the creation was materialized in my heart. And I saw Srila Prabhupada guiding his devotees in kirtana, and I saw the sweetest Radha-Syamasundara, and I saw Govardhana and Radhakunda-Syamakunda.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">That book was saying, if you really want it, you\u2019ll get residence in Vrindavana. So easy. And I wanted it. I was going there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">And a phrase echoed in my mind:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">\u201cIt takes a heart hard as a stone to leave Vrindavana.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">If it was not stone-hearted, how could you leave it without breaking it?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">When some time after I left Vrindavana, I remember that phrase and I realized that I had a heart hard like a stone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Maybe a devotee should leave Vrindavana for preaching. This is what I felt Srila Prabhupada was telling me.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">But I feel a devotee should preach with the heart full of pain having to preach so far from home. Transform the heart into Vrindavana, longing to go back home, back to Vrindavana.
