Mah\u0101r\u0101ja Yudhi\u1e63\u1e6dhira then began to observe some inauspicious omens, which were fearful in themselves.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16415\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/3\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 3:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>He saw that the direction of eternal time had changed, and this was very fearful. There were disruptions in the seasonal regularities. The people in general had become very greedy, angry and deceitful. And he saw that they were adopting foul means of livelihood.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16420\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/4\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 4:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>All ordinary transactions and dealings became polluted with cheating, even between friends. And in familial affairs, there was always misunderstanding between fathers, mothers and sons, between well-wishers, and between brothers. Even between husband and wife there was always strain and quarrel.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16425\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/5\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 5:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>In course of time it came to pass that people in general became accustomed to greed, anger, pride, etc. Mah\u0101r\u0101ja Yudhi\u1e63\u1e6dhira, observing all these omens, spoke to his younger brother.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16430\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/6\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 6:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Mah\u0101r\u0101ja Yudhi\u1e63\u1e6dhira said to his younger brother Bh\u012bmasena: I sent Arjuna to Dv\u0101rak\u0101 to meet his friends and to learn from the Personality of Godhead, K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a, of His program of work.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16434\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/7\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 7:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Since he departed, seven months have passed, yet he has not returned. I do not know factually how things are going there.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16438\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/8\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 8:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Is He going to quit His earthly pastimes, as Devar\u1e63i N\u0101rada indicated? Has that time already arrived?<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16448\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/9\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 9:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>From Him only, all our kingly opulence, good wives, lives, progeny, control over our subjects, victory over our enemies, and future accommodations in higher planets have become possible. All this is due to His causeless mercy upon us.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16453\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/10\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 10:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Just see, O man with a tiger\u2019s strength, how many miseries due to celestial influences, earthly reactions and bodily pains \u2014 all very dangerous in themselves \u2014 are foreboding danger in the near future by deluding our intelligence.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16458\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/11\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 11:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>The left side of my body \u2014 my thighs, arms and eyes \u2014 are all quivering again and again. I am having heart palpitations due to fear. All this indicates undesirable happenings.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16463\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/12\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 12:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Just see, O Bh\u012bma, how the she-jackal cries at the rising sun and vomits fire, and how the dog barks at me fearlessly.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16468\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/13\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 13:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>O Bh\u012bmasena, tiger amongst men, now useful animals like cows are passing me on my left side, and lower animals like the asses are circumambulating me. My horses appear to weep upon seeing me.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16472\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/14\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 14:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Just see! This pigeon is like a messenger of death. The shrieks of the owls and their rival crows make my heart tremble. It appears that they want to make a void of the whole universe.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16476\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/15\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 15:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Just see how the smoke encircles the sky. It appears that the earth and mountains are throbbing. Just hear the cloudless thunder and see the bolts from the blue.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16480\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/16\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 16:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>The wind blows violently, blasting dust everywhere and creating darkness. Clouds are raining everywhere with bloody disasters.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16484\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/17\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 17:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>The rays of the sun are declining, and the stars appear to be fighting amongst themselves. Confused living entities appear to be ablaze and weeping.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16488\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/18\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 18:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Rivers, tributaries, ponds, reservoirs and the mind are all perturbed. Butter no longer ignites fire. What is this extraordinary time? What is going to happen?<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16492\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/19\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 19:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>The calves do not suck the teats of the cows, nor do the cows give milk. They are standing, crying, tears in their eyes, and the bulls take no pleasure in the pasturing grounds.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16496\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/20\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 20:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>The Deities seem to be crying in the temple, lamenting and perspiring. They seem about to leave. All the cities, villages, towns, gardens, mines and hermitages are now devoid of beauty and bereft of all happiness. I do not know what sort of calamities are now awaiting us.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16500\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/21\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 21:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>I think that all these earthly disturbances indicate some greater loss to the good fortune of the world. The world was fortunate to have been marked with the footprints of the lotus feet of the Lord. These signs indicate that this will no longer be.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16504\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/22\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 22:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>O Br\u0101hma\u1e47a \u015aaunaka, while Mah\u0101r\u0101ja Yudhi\u1e63\u1e6dhira, observing the inauspicious signs on the earth at that time, was thus thinking to himself, Arjuna came back from the city of the Yadus [Dv\u0101rak\u0101].<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16508\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/23\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 23:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>When he bowed at his feet, the King saw that his dejection was unprecedented. His head was down, and tears glided from his lotus eyes.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16512\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/24\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 24:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Seeing Arjuna pale due to heartfelt anxieties, the King, remembering the indications of the sage N\u0101rada, questioned him in the midst of friends.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16516\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/25\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 25:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Mah\u0101r\u0101ja Yudhi\u1e63\u1e6dhira said: My dear brother, please tell me whether our friends and relatives, such as Madhu, Bhoja, Da\u015b\u0101rha, \u0100rha, S\u0101tvata, Andhaka and the members of the Yadu family are all passing their days in happiness.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16520\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/26\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 26:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Is my respectable grandfather \u015a\u016brasena in a happy mood? And are my maternal uncle Vasudeva and his younger brothers all doing well?<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16524\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/27\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 27:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>His seven wives, headed by Devak\u012b, are all sisters. Are they and their sons and daughters-in-law all happy?<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16528\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/28-29\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Texts 28-29:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Are Ugrasena, whose son was the mischievous Ka\u1e41sa, and his younger brother still living? Are H\u1e5bd\u012bka and his son K\u1e5btavarm\u0101 happy? Are Akr\u016bra, Jayanta, Gada, S\u0101ra\u1e47a and \u015aatrujit all happy? How is Balar\u0101ma, the Personality of Godhead and the protector of devotees?<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16534\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/30\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 30:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>How is Pradyumna, the great general of the V\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47i family? Is He happy? And is Aniruddha, the plenary expansion of the Personality of Godhead, faring well?<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16539\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/31\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 31:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Are all the chieftain sons of Lord K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a, such as Su\u1e63e\u1e47a, C\u0101rude\u1e63\u1e47a, S\u0101mba the son of J\u0101mbavat\u012b, and \u1e5a\u1e63abha, along with their sons, all doing well?<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16544\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/32-33\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Texts 32-33:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Also, \u015arutadeva, Uddhava and others, Nanda, Sunanda and other leaders of liberated souls who are constant companions of the Lord are protected by Lord Balar\u0101ma and K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a. Are they all doing well in their respective functions? Do they, who are all eternally bound in friendship with us, remember our welfare?<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16550\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/34\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 34:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Is Lord K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who gives pleasure to the cows, the senses and the br\u0101hma\u1e47as, who is very affectionate towards His devotees, enjoying the pious assembly at Dv\u0101rak\u0101 Pur\u012b surrounded by friends?<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16555\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/35-36\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Texts 35-36:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>The original Personality of Godhead, the enjoyer, and Balar\u0101ma, the primeval Lord Ananta, are staying in the ocean of the Yadu dynasty for the welfare, protection and general progress of the entire universe. And the members of the Yadu dynasty, being protected by the arms of the Lord, are enjoying life like the residents of the spiritual sky.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16561\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/37\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 37:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Simply by administering comforts at the lotus feet of the Lord, which is the most important of all services, the queens at Dv\u0101rak\u0101, headed by Satyabh\u0101m\u0101, induced the Lord to conquer the demigods. Thus the queens enjoy things which are prerogatives of the wives of the controller of thunderbolts.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16567\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/38\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 38:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>The great heroes of the Yadu dynasty, being protected by the arms of Lord \u015ar\u012b K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a, always remain fearless in every respect. And therefore their feet trample over the Sudharm\u0101 assembly house, which the best demigods deserved but which was taken away from them.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16573\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/39\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 39:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>My brother Arjuna, please tell me whether your health is all right. You appear to have lost your bodily luster. Is this due to others disrespecting and neglecting you because of your long stay at Dv\u0101rak\u0101?<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16578\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/40\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 40:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Has someone addressed you with unfriendly words or threatened you? Could you not give charity to one who asked, or could you not keep your promise to someone?<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16583\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/41\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 41:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>You are always the protector of the deserving living beings, such as br\u0101hma\u1e47as, children, cows, women and the diseased. Could you not give them protection when they approached you for shelter?<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16588\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/42\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 42:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Have you contacted a woman of impeachable character, or have you not properly treated a deserving woman? Or have you been defeated on the way by someone who is inferior or equal to you?<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16594\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/43\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 43:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Have you not taken care of old men and boys who deserve to dine with you? Have you left them and taken your meals alone? Have you committed some unpardonable mistake which is considered to be abominable?<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text\">\n<dl id=\"bb16599\" class=\"r r-verse\">\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/14\/44\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text 44:<\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Or is it that you are feeling empty for all time because you might have lost your most intimate friend, Lord K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a?
