When the son of the br\u0101hma\u1e47a [A\u015bvatth\u0101m\u0101] saw that his horses were tired, he considered that there was no alternative for protection outside of his using the ultimate weapon, the brahm\u0101stra [nuclear weapon].<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In the ultimate issue only, when there is no alternative, the nuclear weapon called the brahm\u0101stra<\/i> is applied. The word dvij\u0101tmaja\u1e25<\/i> is significant here because A\u015bvatth\u0101m\u0101, although the son of Dro\u1e47\u0101c\u0101rya, was not exactly a qualified br\u0101hma\u1e47a.<\/i> The most intelligent man is called a br\u0101hma\u1e47a,<\/i> and it is not a hereditary title. A\u015bvatth\u0101m\u0101 was also formerly called the brahma-bandhu,<\/i> or the friend of a br\u0101hma\u1e47a.<\/i> Being a friend of a br\u0101hma\u1e47a<\/i> does not mean that one is a br\u0101hma\u1e47a<\/i> by qualification. A friend or son of a br\u0101hma\u1e47a,<\/i> when fully qualified, can be called a br\u0101hma\u1e47a<\/i> and not otherwise.
