The present status on my work on the MAHA-BHARATA (in English).
Some devotees have asked me about the present status of my work on the Maha-bharata.
At the moment I find myself at about 60% of Adi Parva, which is a big books by itself. It is consists of 227 sections and 8.884 verses, almost half of the Srimad-Bhagavatam.
For those who have never heard of this project:
The Maha-bharata is an huge encyclopedia of Vedic history and philosophy. Just consider that the Srimad-Bhagavatam is composed of 18,000 verses while the Maha-bharata is near to 110,000.
Some might say: we can find the complete Maha-bharata online for free already translated in English, so what’s new in what you are doing?
What I am doing is explaining philosophical points, giving historical biographies and explanations, which is nowhere to be found. Obviously both philosophical explanations and biographies are necessarily short but you will come out of the book knowing a little bit of everything. Just to get an idea of the vastness of the work, up to now (60% of Adi Parva) I met about 900 names of people, places or philosophical concepts to clarify.
I have also informed the devotees that I am working on my second book in Spanish and that therefore Adi Parva could be ready around spring / beginning of summer, depending how much my body will need to sleep.
