The Composition of Material Nature
Question:
I am currently reading chapter 26 of the Third Canto in the Srimad Bhagavatam. I really don’t understand any of the verses in this chapter. Especially the 2nd half of the verses.
Can you please tell me what this chapter is all about? I know the title says Fundamental Principles of Material Nature. But the verses are so confusing to me that I feel totally lost. I don’t know if you can summarize what this chapter is all about. Thank you.
Answer:
In the twenty-sixth chapter of the Third Canto of the Srimad-Bhagavatam, some principles of the creation of the material world and its composition are explained.
It is not an easy topic to understand for those who are not familiar with the philosophy nor certainly to be summarized in a few paragraphs in response to letters. It would be like a student asking a professor to summarize physics in a few words. His answer would be “come to school and gradually you will understand”.
In my book “A Sidelong Glance” you can read some explanation of the composition of material nature, but it does not explain the creative process. Please read it.
I also give weekly videoconferences in English. Come and you will see that little by little some aspects of the Vaisnava philosophy that are now difficult for you to understand will become clear.
This is a section of the book “On a Silver Platter”.
