He is a devotee of Lord Caitanya and lived in Vrndavana and, as commanded by the Lord, he installed the Deities of Gaura Govinda.
In his past incarnation he was Keli Manjari of Vraja.

Sri Kasisvara Pandita Gosvami had a temple near Sri Rampura at Catara.
Mahaprabhu sent him to Vrindavana later on in his life. His disciple was Sri Govinda Gosai, the pujari of Sri Govinda Deva.
When Srila Rupa Gosvami discovered Sri Govinda Deva’s Sri Vigraha at Gomati tila, he immediately sent word to Mahaprabhu at Puri. Mahaprabhu in turn requested Sri Kasisvara Pandita to go to Vrindavana. Kasisvara however expressed that “to have to give up your association will cause my heart to be split in two. Therefore please consider how I can honor your request without giving up my life.”
Mahaprabhu could understand the heart of Kasisvara and therefore he gave him a self manifested Deity of Himself. Mahaprabhu sat down along with this Vigraha and accepted prasad at which Kasisvara’s faith was kindled.
Mahaprabhu intimated to him with this Deity and established him on the right side of Sri Govinda Deva. Then he began to serve Them with great love.
Kasisvara Gosvami, in pursuance of the order of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, established the Deity of Sri Gaura Govinda within the temple of Sri Sri Radha Govinda in Vrindavan.
When Srila Rupa Gosvami discovered the Deity of Sri Govinda within the hill at Gomatila he immediately sent word to Mahaprabhu, Who was in Puri at the time. Mahaprabhu then requested Kasisvara to go to Vrindavan to assist in the worship of Sri Govinda.
Kasisvara replied,
“Prabhu, to give up Your association will cause my heart to split in two. Therefore please consider how I can honour Your request without giving up my life at the same time.”
Sri Gaurahari could understand the heart of Kasisvara. He solved the problem by giving a Deity of Himself to Kasisvara. Then He sat down with that Deity to take His meal. Kasisvara was in complete ecstasy to see this.
Prabhu told him that the name of this Deity is Sri Gaura Govinda. [Bhakti Ratna, 2nd Taranga]
Kasisvara brought this Deity of Sri Gaura Govinda and installed Him to the right of Sri Govinda. This Deity is still present with Sri Govinda at His present residence in Jaipur. The disciple of Kasisvara Gosai, Govinda Gosai, was the very dear servant (pujari) of Sri Govinda.

There is a very ancient temple in Catara, near Ballabhapur which is reputed to be the temple founded by Kasisvara Gosvami. Nearby is the temple of Sri Sri Radha Ballabhajiu, founded by Kasisvara’s nephew, Sri Rudraram Pandit. Kamalakar Piplai’s temple of Lord Jagannath is also very close by.
All three of these temples are within a few minutes of the Sri Rampur railway station near Calcutta.
Kasisvara Gosvami was known in Vraja as the sakhi called Sasi Rekha.

Shri Isvara Puri sent his disciples, Govinda and Kasisvara Pandit, to Jagannatha Puri to humbly serve Lord Chaitanya.
Reluctant to accept service from His Godbrothers, Shri Chaitanya finally agreed since it was His guru’s wish.
Named Kalavati and Sasi-rekha in Vraja Lila, Govinda and Kasisvara bring Yamuna water to Lord Shri Krishna. Kasisvara Pandit, who was strong and powerfully built, used to walk before Lord Chaitanya keeping the crowds from touching Him. And after kirtans he would serveprasadam to all the devotees. Shri Gaurasundara asked Kasisvara to move to Vrndavana for worshiping Shri Rupa Gosvami’s Deity of Govindaji. Fearing separation from Lord Chaitanya, Kasisvara said, “My Lord, if I must give up Your association my heart will split in two.” Out of compassion for His devotee Lord Gaurachandra gave him a Deity of Himself that was so perfectly formed it exactly resembled the Lord. “Gaura-Govinda,” the Deity’s name, is a golden form of Krishna playing flute. Then Kasisvara Pandit happily went to Vrndavana to serve Gaura-Govinda and Govindaji. Govindaji are lovingly adored by thousands of devotees in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
