Pancadravida Maharaja once was asking Srila Prabhupada ‘ISKCON is getting so big! How can we maintain our personal relationship with you, Srila Prabhupada?’
Srila Prabhupada gave the answer: ‘You do not understand it correctly. Actually, I am doing everything in ISKCON. I am doing everything. I am doing the deity worship, I am cleaning the temple, I am distributing the books, but I am doing these through you. I need help to do all these things.’
And he gave the example of the pujari. The pujari assists the old sannyasis in the worship because they cannot bend down so much. So Prabhupada says the same thing: ‘Hand me the incense, hand me the ghee – lamp, and in this way you’re assisting me. I am doing everything in one sense, but I need your assistance, through you, you and you….’
